Call Recording & AI Disclosure Consent

1. Why this matters

Flyvoice calls are conducted by an automated AI voice agent and may be recorded and transcribed. Recording a private conversation without proper consent can breach state surveillance-devices laws and privacy law. Failing to disclose that a caller is automated can also be misleading. As the business using Flyvoice, you are responsible for obtaining any required consent and making the required disclosures.

2. AI disclosure

At the start of a call, the agent should make clear that the caller is an automated / AI assistant acting on behalf of [business name]. Do not configure the agent to imply it is a specific human or to conceal that it is automated.

3. Recording consent

Where a call is recorded, the participant should be told at the outset that the call may be recorded, and given a genuine opportunity to decline or continue. Use an approach appropriate to the states you call into — a “notice and continue” approach may be sufficient in some situations, while others require express consent. When in doubt, obtain clear, express consent and honour any objection.

Suggested opening (adapt with counsel):

“Hi, this is an automated assistant calling on behalf of [business name]. This call may be recorded for quality and record-keeping. Are you happy to continue?”

5. Storage, use, and retention

Recordings and transcripts are stored as Customer Data and handled under our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement. Retain recordings only as long as necessary for your stated purpose and delete them thereafter. Flyvoice provides controls to manage do-not-call status and to delete records.

6. Your responsibility

By using Flyvoice you confirm that you will obtain all consents and make all disclosures required by law for the calls you run, and that your scripts and configuration reflect this notice. This is a shared-responsibility area: Flyvoice provides the tooling and disclosures in-call, and you ensure lawful use for your circumstances.
